Current Projects

Keegan Finberg is currently working on a series of poems about Nashville using language from the online neighborhood community Nextdoor.

She is writing a series of poems that considers institutional sexism (examples here and here).

Keegan recently completed a chapbook-length hybrid serial poem depicting an urban bedbug crisis. News stories, extermination treatments, and a bed bug sniffing dog show how today’s late capitalism drives a general affective sense of both community and alienation. The chapbook is a dramatization of the anthropocene that points out the ways in which fear of bedbugs manifests further in race, class, and gender discrimination. Part of this work is in Bone Bouquet.
